September 2nd I was in Fort Worth at Trinity Lutheran Church attending the memorial service for Pastor Ron Heimsoth. The church was filled to overflowing with parishioners, fellow pastors, and representatives from ecumenical and civic organizations. The singing was strong, as were testimonies to the faith-filled life of Pastor Ron. He is greatly missed.

"The Texas Conference of Churches is in the process of transformation which, in a state as varied and vast as ours, is best done gradually with much thought, discussion, discernment and prayer. Following last week's meetings of the TCC Board and Judicatory Leaders, both of whom affirm what our members have recommended, the TCC will begin restructuring to resource existing regional networks and to encourage networks in regions where none exist."
