The purpose of the Commission on Christian Unity & Interfaith Relations is to nurture koinonia among Texas Conference of Churches member churches, and the wider Christian community through shared worship, dialogue, and ministry with one another, in order to bring about the healing of divisions among the churches, and to foster interreligious understanding and cooperation. This Commission is charged with a) formulating a Christian Unity agenda on current ecumenical and interreligious issues, to be recommended to the Board of Directors for approval, and b) initiating annual Faith & Order Conferences, to engage churches at judicatory and local levels of church life.
The Commission on Christian Unity & Interfaith Relations is accountable to the Board of Directors.
